Coming through the trees is a message fo

Angeline Chiang and Wesley Barrington are by moonsong.

Angeline holds a degree in biology from the University of Connecticut. After   graduation and a bout of introspection, she moved to New York City to begin a new career as a cook. Angeline began as a server and transitioned to the kitchen. Her background is diverse - from Malaysian food to New American, from fine dining to catering. Angeline left NYC as the executive sous chef of Ivan Ramen to join Brigaid.

Wesley attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In the city of Boston, he began to explore the culinary treasures the city had to offer and eventually made a full commitment to cooking. Wesley’s background is in fine dining but his eating habits are anything but. Armed with curiosity and an amazing palate, he is able to easily identify ingredients and techniques in order to make them his own. Wesley left Boston as the lead line cook and baker of La Brasa to join Brigaid.

Angeline and Wesley met while working for Brigaid, a company founded by Dan Guisti. Based out of New London, Connecticut, Brigaid aims to redefine school food and to change the way the community thinks about food and the act of eating. Angeline and Wesley quickly discovered that not only did their ideals align, but they both shared a passion for ramen and soup. After long hours in the cafeteria, they would sit under the stars and moonlight and talk about work, life, past, future, but most importantly, ramen - the best bowls they’ve had, the worst bowls they've had, and the legendary bowls they’d like to have.
